Employee Parking
Faculty, staff, and students working on the Virginia Tech campus located in Northern Virginia are also required to register their vehicles by purchasing a Virginia Tech parking permit. In addition, a proximity card issued by NVC Facilities is necessary to enter and exit the parking lot. NVC will issue a proximity card to new permit holders. Existing proximity cards can be renewed by contacting NVC Facilities after purchasing a parking permit by email or calling 703-538-8440.
How to obtain a NVC Proximity Card
- If you don't have a VT parking permit you can purchase on using the button above or by clicking here.
- If you already have a parking permit or you have received your temporary parking permit, Download this form: Proxycard Form.
- Fill out the form and sign it. Attach a picture of the permit, copy of the temporary pass or the email receipt and email facilities@vt.edu
- Once your proximity card is available, a member of NVC Facilities will contact you to arrange a pickup date and time.
Parking Locations
Lower Lot - The larger of the two parking lots at NVC that can be used by faculty, staff, and students. If you have purchased a Virginia Tech parking permit from parking services, you will need a proximity card from NVC Facilities to enter and leave the lower parking lot.
Upper Lot - The upper parking lot at NVC is reserved for faculty and staff parking only. In order to park in the upper lot you will need a Virginia Tech parking permit and key fob issued by NVC Facilities. To request a key fob for the upper lot please contact NVC Facilities at:
